Therapy Tuesday: Advanced Spine and Wellness

 Advanced Spine and Wellness

To make it to the highest level of competitive sports you need an entire team behind you.  Obviously you need a great coach that will guide you through your program, but the part of the team that is rarely spoken about, is a good recovery team.  What does that entail?  It might be as simple as having a good schedule to keep your muscles and joints intact with stretches or an ice bath.  Or it might be more expansive, including a massage therapist, chiropractor, physical therapist, acupuncturist, etc.  How do you determine which type of therapy — even self-therapy — is right for you?
With this series of articles and interviews we’ll explore resources to help you stay at the top of your game, either if you’re a weekend warrior or training to go to the CrossFit Games.

This week we got to sit down with Andrew Bloch, a therapist that is Board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and he is a licensed Physical Therapist and also certified by the American College of Clinical Thermology.  Take a moment and listen to his revolutionary technique for treating the human body and how he helped a CrossFit team, 12 Labours CrossFit, make it to the 2015 CrossFit Games.
